International Space Station has 2 new Astronauts, One From Russia And one from the United States. Following a flawless Russian launch, the International Space Station welcomed three new inhabitants on Wednesday. The Soyuz capsule was launched into orbit from Kazakhstan and arrived at the space station three hours later. Along with Russians Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitri Petelin, American Frank Rubio arrived for a six-month stay.
Rubio, a doctor and former Army parachutist from Miami boarded the Soyuz as part of the two countries’ new crew swap arrangement. Despite tensions over Moscow’s conflict in Ukraine, the deal was concluded in July, indicating the continuation of Russia-US collaboration in space.
