Reported recorded two deaths due to the H3N2 influenza virus in Haryana and Karnataka. Haryana and Karnataka reported the first two deaths in India due to the H3N2 influenza virus. Health department officials said the victim from Karnataka suffered from fever, sore throat, and cough and had symptoms of influenza-like illness on Friday. An 82-year-old man from Alur taluka was admitted to Hassan institute of medical science on February 24 and died on March 1.
