Harjot, an Indian student who was fired at in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv during the battle with Russia and is currently being treated in a hospital, said the Indian embassy there gave him “no adequate answer.” Harjot is from Delhi’s Chhattarpur neighbourhood and studied in Ukraine. Naveen Shekarappa Gyanagoudar, the victim, was a fourth-year medical student at Kharkiv National Medical University. “Please remove me from here,” Harjot pleaded. I knew I was going to die, but I didn’t want to go so soon. I want to spend the rest of my life with my family. My mother’s prayers kept me alive today.
