Indian Embassy in Argentina has launched a yoga initiative for local police officers

The Indian government has promoted Yoga at a number of international events, emphasising the activity’s related health advantages.
The Indian embassy began a joint project with the Argentine Federal Police on Thursday to promote Yoga for the forces’ physical and emotional well-being.
The initiative was launched by Indian Ambassador to Argentina Dinesh Bhatia in collaboration with Juan C Hernandez, Chief of the Argentine Federal Police and Dean of the Institute of the Argentine Federal Police, according to a tweet from the Indian embassy.
Notably, the Indian government has promoted Yoga at a number of international events, emphasising the activity’s linked health advantages.
The second inter-ministerial conference to discuss the commemoration of the International Day of Yoga (IDY) in 2022 was conducted in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Several Union Ministers attended the conference and shared information about their ministries’ efforts to raise awareness of IDY-2022, as well as proposals to improve outreach.
Since 2015, the International Day of Yoga has been observed on June 21st, after the approval of a United Nations (UN) resolution on the subject.
