India records 67,084 fresh cases of Covid which is 6% lesser than Wednesday

            On Thursday, India saw a 6% decline in Covid-19 cases, with 67,084 new infections detected in the previous 24 hours.

According to figures issued by the Union Health Ministry, this brings the total caseload in the country to 4,24,78,060.

Furthermore, the country recorded 1,241 fatalities in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 5,06,520. During the specified time period, a total of 1,67,882 recoveries were made.

Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the latest 24 hours was 7,90,789, accounting for 1.86 percent of the overall infection. The country’s daily positivity rate has also fallen, and it currently stands at 4.44 percent.

The total number of vaccinations in India has reached 1,71,28,19,947.

According to health ministry data, the top five states in India with the most Covid-19 instances are Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan.

Kerala had the most instances with 23,253, followed by Maharashtra with 7,142, Karnataka with 5,339, Tamil Nadu with 3,971 and Rajasthan with 3,728.

The government also stated that these five states accounted for 64.75 percent of all new cases. Kerala alone is responsible for 34.66% of new cases.
