India Fights the New COVID Wave with Great Success: Prime Minister Modi

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed India is combating the current wave of Covid with “amazing success,” and that people’s confidence in indigenous vaccinations is “our strength.”
PM Modi stated in his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme, “Now the incidence of corona infection has also begun falling, which is a very encouraging indicator.” He also added that it is a source of pleasure that around four and a half crore youngsters have received the first dose of coronavirus vaccination.
“This indicates that around 60% of teenagers aged 15 to 18 years received their immunizations within three to four weeks. This will not only safeguard our youth but will also assist them in continuing their education”, he stated.
Another encouraging statistic is that one crore individuals took the precautionary dose within 20 days, according to PM Modi. “Our greatest strength is our people’s belief in indigenous vaccinations,” the prime minister added. He said that India is tackling the latest coronavirus outbreak with “excellent success.”
