India adds 6,561 new COVID cases, including 142 deaths

            In the last 24 hours, India registered 6,561 new instances of the novel coronavirus, as well as 142 fatalities from the infection.

According to statistics released by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday (March 3), the country experienced 14,947 discharges in the past 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to roughly 98.62 percent and total recoveries to 4,23,53,620.

According to ministry data, the overall number of active COVID-19 cases in India has dropped to 77,152.

The country’s overall death toll is at 5,14,388. The first fatality from the COVID epidemic was recorded in India in March 2020.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 77,00,50,005 samples were tested for COVID-19 as of March 2. On Wednesday, 8,82,953 of these samples were analysed.
