India acquires 6,396 new COVID cases, including 201 fatalities in last 24 hours

            In the last 24 hours, India registered 6,396 new instances of the novel coronavirus, as well as 201 fatalities from the infection.

According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday (March 4), the country experienced a total of 13,450 discharges in the previous 24 hours, bringing the overall recovery rate to roughly 98.64 percent and total recoveries to 4,23,67,070.

According to ministry data, the overall number of active COVID-19 cases in India has dropped to 69,897 (0.16 percent).

The country’s overall death toll is at 5,14,589. The first fatality from the COVID epidemic was recorded in India in March 2020.

Today’s daily positivity rate is 0.69 percent.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 77,09,73,356 samples were tested for COVID-19 as of March 3. On Thursday, 9,23,351 of these samples were examined.
