According to statistics issued by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, India registered 7,554 new Covid-19 cases and 223 fatalities in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall death toll to 5,14,246. (March 2, 2022). There are currently 85,680 active cases.
In the last 24 hours, the active Covid-19 caseload has decreased by 6,792 cases.
Today, the country logged 14,123 recoveries, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,23,38,673.
The national recovery rate for Covid-19 is 98.60%.
Furthermore, the total number of doses delivered in the country as part of the countrywide Covid-19 immunisation effort has surpassed, 177.79 crore. In the previous 24 hours, 7,84,059 tests were performed to identify the existence of the virus.
