According to Union health ministry statistics released on Tuesday, India has registered its lowest daily COVID-19 incidences since May 17, 2020, at 3,993. The death toll has risen to 5,15,210, with 108 new fatalities, according to figures updated at 8 a.m.
On May 17, 2020, the country had recorded 4,987 new cases.
The number of current COVID-19 cases in the country has dropped to 49,948, according to the ministry.
The total number of persons who have recovered from the sickness now stands at 4,24,06,150.
So far, the total number of doses provided as part of the state-wide COVID-19 immunisation effort has reached 1,79,13,41,295.
According to the government, the daily positive rate has been reported at 0.12%.
