According to Union health ministry statistics updated on Thursday, India’s overall number of cases has risen to 4,30,14,687, with 1,938 new Covid-19 infections detected in the past 24 hours (March 24, 2022).
With 67 deaths per day today, India’s death toll has risen to 5,16,672. The number of active cases in the country has now fallen to 22,427.
In addition, the country reported 2,531 recoveries in a single day. The number of patients who have recovered from the sickness has risen to 4,24,75,588, with a case fatality rate of 1.20 percent.
In the period of 24 hours, the active Covid-19 burden was reduced by 660 cases. The government also stated that active cases account for 0.05 percent of total infections, with a national Covid-19 recovery rate of 98.75 percent.
