In India, there are 1,259 new Covid cases, significantly less than yesterday; 35 people have died

            According to the health ministry dashboard, India registered a small decline in Covid cases on Tuesday, with 1,259 new infections (compared to 1,270 cases on Monday), bringing the total caseload to 4,30,21,982. Thirty-five patients perished, bringing the total death toll in the country to 5,21,070. The number of active cases in the country has fallen further to 15,378 and accounts for 0.04 percent of the total caseload.

Meanwhile, total recoveries are approaching the 4.25 crore milestone, with 1,705 patients discharged in the previous 24 hours. The total recovery rate for Covid-19 is 98.75 percent. The daily and weekly positive rates are 0.22 percent and 0.25 percent, respectively, according to the government on Tuesday.
