The daily Covid curve in India improved somewhat today, with the country reporting 2.35 lakh instances, which is around 6% lower than yesterday. According to the Health Ministry, 871 individuals have died from Covid in the last 24 hours.
Active infections currently account for 4.91 percent of all infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has dropped to 93.89 percent. In the week ending January 26, 400 districts had a positivity rating of more than 10%.
Covid immunisation coverage in India has surpassed 164.04 billion doses. Ninety-five percent of India’s eligible adult population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine, with 74% completely immunised.
