MG Motor India announced on Monday that EV sales increased by 145 percent to 2,798 units in calendar year 2021, reflecting the country’s ongoing migration to electric vehicles.In 2020, the company sold a total of 1,142 units. In its India EV product line, the firm currently has one electric sports utility vehicle, the ZS EV, which was launched in January 2020. In February of last year, it released a facelifted version of the vehicle.The ZS EV continues to pique buyers’ attention in India, with an ARAI-certified range of 419 km on a single charge, according to MG, which reports 700 bookings per month.In comparison to 2020, when total EV sales were 1,142 units, MG Motor India saw a 145 percent increase in volume, reaching 2,798 units last year, according to the firm.Excite and Exclusive are the two models of the ZS EV, with prices starting at Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
