In 19 evacuation flights from Ukraine, the Centre will bring back 3,726 Indians

            According to Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, the IAF and Indian airlines would undertake 19 aircraft on Thursday to return 3,726 Indians from Ukraine’s neighbouring nations to India.

On Thursday, eight IAF, Air India, and IndiGo planes would depart from Bucharest, Romania, for India as part of Operation Ganga, he said on Twitter.

This evacuation is being carried out by the Indian Air Force (IAF) utilising its C-17 military transport aircraft. India has been evacuating its residents through chartered planes from Ukraine’s western neighbours such as Romania, Hungary, and Poland since February 24 because to the Russian military incursion.

Scindia said that the IAF, Go First, and Air India will undertake five flights from Budapest to India on Thursday. According to the ministry, two IndiGo flights will depart from Suceava, Romania, and one SpiceJet aircraft will depart from Kosice, Slovakia. Russian military have taken control of Ukraine’s strategically crucial city of Kherson.
