IIT Bombay student commits suicide

On Monday, an Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Bombay student allegedly committed himself by jumping from the seventh storey of the campus building.
The deceased, a 26-year-old master’s student, was a second-year master’s student, according to authorities. On Monday about 4.30 a.m., he reportedly leaped from the seventh storey of the campus building.
He was rushed to Ghatkopar’s Rajawadi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The authorities also found a rumoured suicide note at his hostel. The student stated in the note that he was suffering from depression and was getting treatment. According to the message, he did not hold anyone accountable for his death.
In this situation, the Powai Police have opened an accidental death investigation. More research is being conducted.
