1 min read

According to an official, unidentified criminals took certain vital pieces of the antique Sun-Watch from Dehri town in Bihar’s Rohtas district.

The Sun-Watch, established during the British rule in 1871, is an essential identity and pride of Dehri town. It is located in the office of the water resource development department. Because of the houses and offices of key authorities such as the district magistrate, Superintendent of Police (SP), Additional SP, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), and others, the area is regarded very guarded.

Thieves took advantage of the lack of protection in the building where the watch is located. According to the police, the premises is a heritage landmark in the district, although it is in disrepair. The robbers shattered the watch and stole its metal blade (Brass).

“The sun watch is within the purview of Dehri’s water resource development agency”. “We have filed a FIR against unidentified thieves and are investigating”, stated R.K. Singh, SHO of Dehri Town Police Station.
