Gold & Silver Prices fall today

            Gold prices fell substantially in Indian markets Wednesday, falling more than half a percent as a result of low global interest rates

At 9.32 a.m. on Thursday, gold futures on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) were down 0.54 percent, trading at Rs 47,763 for 10 grams (January 6, 2022). Silver futures were down 1.39 percent at Rs 61,372 per kilogram.

Gold and silver prices in the international market were volatile but ended on a good note. Gold February futures contracts closed at $1,825.10 per troy ounce, up 0.58 percent, while silver March futures contracts closed at $23.17 per troy ounce, up 0.48 percent.

Gold finished at Rs 46,969 per 10 gram in the previous day on January 5, while silver rose to Rs 60,725/kg.

In Chennai Rs. 45,170 followed by Rs. 47,290 in New Delhi, Rs 47,070 in Mumbai, Rs 47,240 in Kolkata.
