Since February 5, 2022, the gold rate has remained constant. The gold pricing in Delhi is Rs 45,200 for 22-carat gold and Rs 49,300 for 24-carat gold, which is somewhat more than the national rate.

In Mumbai, the gold pricing today was Rs 45,200 for 10 grams of 22-carat gold and Rs 49,250 for 10 grams of 24-carat gold, respectively. However, rates in Chennai were somewhat higher, with 10 grams of 22-carat gold costing Rs 45,390 and 24-carat gold costing Rs 49,520.

The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Monetary Policy Committee meeting, which is set for February 8-11, is likely to cause volatility in gold prices in India this week. The meeting was scheduled for February 7, but it was postponed owing to the death of singing icon Lata Mangeshkar. According to media sources, the RBI raised the reverse repo rate by 25 basis points last night.
