The first official trailer for Elvis, a film on the life and career of rock and roll great Elvis Presley, has been released by Warner Bros.
Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Luke Bracey, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Dacre Montgomery, David Wenham, Richard Roxburgh, Kate Mulvany, Elizabeth Cullen, Natasha Bassett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Olivia DeJonge feature in the film. Baz Luhrmann, an accomplished Australian filmmaker, directs the picture. Set against a developing cultural environment and loss of innocence in America, the film follows the rock legend’s rise from dirt-poor musician to worldwide phenomenon as viewed through the lens of his complex relationship with manager Colonel Tom Parker over two decades (played by Tom Hanks).
Presley attained a level of popularity rivalled only by the Beatles until his death in 1977 at the age of 42, which remains a mystery to this day. Sam Bromell, Baz Luhrmann, and Craig Pearce wrote the script. Gail Berman, Catherine Martin, Patrick McCormick, Andrew Mittman, Schuyler Weiss, and Baz Luhrmann produced the film. The film will be released on June 24, 2022!
