Tesla CEO Elon Musk will hear questions from Twitter’s lawyers in the coming days, ahead of the October trial. According to the Associated Press, the deposition will take place from Monday to Tuesday, with the possibility of continuing on Wednesday if necessary. The questions asked before the trial about Musk’s proposed takeover of Twitter, on the other hand, will not be made public.
Twitter opted to sue after Musk withdrew from the $44 billion buyout, citing concerns about bogus users on the social media platform. While Twitter stated that the figure was roughly 5%, Musk claimed that around 20% of users on the platform were bots.
While Musk has confirmed his participation in the deposition, his team has yet to specify whether he would be present in person or through video link. This will be the last time both sides speak to each other before the trial begins in the Delaware Chancery Court.
