The validity of driving licenses issued between 1 February 2020 and 31 January 2022 has been extended by the Delhi government. The news was made on Twitter by Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot. A learner’s permit’s validity was previously extended till January 31, 2022. However, the deadline has been extended due to the cancellation of driving tests to prevent the spread of Covid-19. “Keeping in mind the general public’s interest, the Transport Department has decided to prolong the validity of all learner and heavy driving licenses for the next three months,” Gahlot tweeted in Hindi. “Therefore, the validity of those learner licenses, including the heavy commercial vehicle driving licenses, issued by the department whose validity has expired between February 1, 2020 to January 31, 2022, has been extended for two months,” it added.
