COVID pandemic: India reports 4,194 new cases in a single day, with 255 deaths

            In the last 24 hours, India registered 4,194 new instances of the novel coronavirus, including 255 fatalities as a result of infection.

According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday (March 11), the country experienced a total of 6,208 discharges in the past 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to roughly 98.70% and total recoveries to 4,24,26,328.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, the total number of active COVID-19 cases in India has dropped to 42,219 as of today.

The total number of deaths in the country is currently 5,15,714. The first fatality from the COVID epidemic was recorded in India in March 2020.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 77,68,94,810 samples were tested for COVID-19 as of March 10. On Thursday, 8,12,365 of these samples were examined.
