For the fourth day in a row, India reported fewer COVID-19 instances than 2000. The total caseload increased by 1,778 cases in the previous 24 hours, bringing it to 43,012,749. The recovery rate in India is 98.75%, whereas the mortality rate is 1.20 percent. The death toll from COVID has risen to 5,16,605, including 62 additional deaths. As part of the countrywide immunization campaign, the Indian government has been supplying free COVID vaccinations to states and union territories.
The cumulative caseload hit 43,012,749 on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, which reported 1,778 new cases in the past 24 hours. The Union Government would acquire and deliver (free of charge) to States and UTs 75 percent of the vaccines manufactured by vaccine makers in the country in the next phase of the COVID19 immunization effort.
