Covid-19 Latest News Updates: NCID study finds that older people who receive the Moderna COVID-19 booster had a ‘significantly stronger’ antibody response than those who receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

An older adult’s antibody response will be “much greater” after receiving a Moderna COVID-19 booster dose. “At Day 28, the amount of neutralizing antibody against Omicron with Pfizer-BioNTech/ Comirnaty was 72.8 percent versus 84.3 percent with Moderna,” NCID noted. The results came from a clinical study involving 100 people who had received the Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty injection as their primary COVID-19 immunization series. Fever and weakness were more common in individuals who took Moderna as a booster dosage, especially among those aged 60 and older. Another research is now underway, with participants ranging in age and ethnicity.
