Covid-19: India shows a roughly 18% decrease in daily cases while the worldwide spike continues

            In the previous 24 hours, as many as 3,383 persons were believed to have ‘recovered’ from the sickness. The national ‘recovery rate’ has now reached 98.73 percent.

For the sixth consecutive day, India recorded less than 3,000 new Covid cases in 24 hours, despite a concerning increase in caseloads in certain areas. According to the health ministry, 2,075 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded, and the active caseload has now fallen below 28,000, or 0.06 percent of the nation’s total caseload.

In the last 24 hours, 71 Covid-related fatalities have been reported, bringing the total number of lives lost to around 5.16 lakh. The mortality rate has remained constant at 1.20 percent.
