Coal India is on track to set a new record in 2021-22, with output expected to exceed 620 million tonnes.

During the fiscal year 2021-22, Coal India Ltd is expected to achieve its highest-ever output. As of March 28, Coal India’s output for the current fiscal year stands at 614.4 million tones. The Centre had set an ambitious target of 670 million tones of output for the current fiscal year.

“We have exceeded past production highs… and may end the year at about 622 million tonnes,” the official said, according to PTI.
