In a Hunt to emerge as a global superpower, the Chinese government has opened numerous illegal police stations across the world including in developed countries like Canada and Ireland, triggering concerns among human rights campaigners. Such informal police service stations with the Public Security Bureau (PSB) across Canada have been set up to antagonize China’s adversaries . According to local media reports, Fuzhou has established informal police service stations affiliated with the Public Security Bureau (PSB) across Canada. At least three of these stations are located in the Greater Toronto Area only.
Moreover, the Chinese government is also influencing the elections in certain countries through these illegal police stations, according to Investigative Journalism Reportika. According to the Fuzhou police, 30 similar stations have already been established in 21 nations. Countries like Ukraine, France, Spain, Germany, and the UK have such agreements with Chinese police stations, and the leaders of the majority of these nations openly criticise China’s ascent and its deteriorating human rights records while also contributing to the problem.
Human rights activists have charged the Communist Party in power in China with massive human rights violations across the nation in the name of security, including the forced sterilization of women and the confinement of people to internment camps. China has claimed that these establishments are “vocational skills training centers” required to “fight” extremism and enhance living conditions.
