Chairman Brijesh Patel confirms IPL 2022 dates; March 2022

            The IPL’s 2022 season will begin on March 26, chairman Brijesh Patel announced to PTI following the governing council meeting on Thursday.

“Spectators will be permitted under Maharashtra government norms, with a cap of 40% initially. If the COVID situation is kept under control and cases diminish, it might be a full house by the end of the day”, PTI obtained information from a source.

The final location has yet to be determined, however it is possible that it would be held in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

This year’s IPL mega auction took place on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. Mumbai Indians paid the highest price for Ishan Kishan, who was purchased for Rs. 15.25 crore. Former Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping Rs 12.25 crore.

Patel also stated that the tournament’s final will take place on May 29. “Yes, IPL 2022 will begin on March 26 and conclude on May 29”, Patel confirmed to ANI.
