Drone delivers explosives near the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar, then runs as the BSF fires.
In the early hours of Wednesday, a drone was spotted near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Amritsar, according to news agency ANI.
BSF jawans reacted quickly and opened fire on the drone, which then flew back towards Pakistan.
Officials from the BSF conducted a search operation. They discovered bombs in two locations.
“Today, at 12:50 a.m., personnel in Panjgrain heard buzzing of a suspected flying object coming from Pakistan to India”, according to a BSF statement.
“In the villages of Ghaggar and Singhoke, a search and rescue effort has been initiated. Two yellow packages containing suspected contraband were seized”, it was added
Meanwhile, a larger search and rescue operation has been launched in the area.
