Bengaluru: Wife accuses her husband and in laws of dowry and feeding alcohol to her 3-year-old son

            The Bengaluru Police have arrested a man and his family members after his wife claimed that they abused her for dowry and forced-fed whiskey to her three-year-old son.

The lady, 26, stated that her husband was having an adulterous affair with his brother’s wife, according to a story in the Times of India. When she approached her in-laws about it, they informed her that her husband’s brother was unable to have children. As a result, they advised him to assist his brother’s wife in becoming a mother, she stated.

When she objected to her husband’s affair, the complainant claimed that her in-laws assaulted and sexually harassed her. She also stated that her in-laws, who are alcoholics, forced alcohol on her kid.

Instead of objecting to their behaviour, the woman said that her husband provided for his family.

The police have charged five persons, including the husband, with violating IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force on a lady with the aim to offend her modesty) and the Dowry Prohibition Act.
