Bappi Lahiri famous musician passed away

Bappi Lahiri, a veteran vocalist, music director, and composer who popularised the Disco type of dance music in India, died in Mumbai.
Lahiri, also known as Bappi Da in the business, is recognised for providing famous songs in various films from the late 1970s and early 1980s, including Chalte Chalte, Disco Dancer, Namak Halaal, Saaheb, and Sharaabi.
People used to burst into jigs and tap their feet to his pieces, as he was a master of various concerts.
The 69-year-old filmmaker was also noted for his eccentric clothes and use of gold jewellery.
He had been ill for long time before passing away at CritiCare Hospital.
Lahiri’s wife, son Bappa Lahiri, daughter Rema Lahiri, and grandkids survive him.
He tested positive for Covid-19 last year and hasn’t been doing well since.
Bappi Lahiri is one of the artists who introduced India to the Disco form of dance music, earning him the title of Disco King.
Bappi Lahiri was recently seen on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 15 to promote the release of his grandson Swastik’s new song, Baccha Party.
