The National Centre for Seismology reported a magnitude 5.7 earthquake in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region on Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. At a depth of 181 kilometers, the earthquake shook sections of Delhi-NCR and Jammu & Kashmir. The earthquake struck 259 kilometers northeast of Kabul, Afghanistan, according to the seismology agency. According to Geo News, tremors were also reported in Rawalpindi, KPK, Hindukush area, Dir, Bajaur, Malakand, Nowshera, North Waziristan, Swat, Buner district, and Manshera in Pakistan. There were no injuries as a result of the earthquake.
