According to news agency ANI, a plane belonging to the Indian Army’s Officer’s Training Academy crashed shortly after take-off on Friday, killing two student pilots.
According to Bangajeet Saha, Director of Gaya International Airport, both pilots were unharmed. The disaster occurred in fields adjacent to a village in the Bodh Gaya region, he claimed, when the pilots attempted an emergency landing.
When villagers saw the trainer plane crash, they raced to the scene and rescued the cadets. Army men arrived shortly afterward and took them away. They also recovered debris from the fallen airliner.
“Only an expert analysis will reveal the nature of the mechanical defect that may have caused the crash”, the airport director stated.
