Kanpur: A family in New Jersey, United States, was able to foil a burglary attempt at their Kanpur home by studying CCTV footage of miscreants attempting to break in. Vijay Awasthi, a 38-year-old software engineer in New Jersey, got a text message. The signal came from the CCTV cameras and sensors he had installed at his ancestral home in Shyam Nagar, which is under the jurisdiction of the Chakeri police station. He called the cops while watching live footage of intruders entering into his home. The family quickly alerted Kanpur police, who arrived to the residence and apprehended the robbers.
