According to Ukrainian police, one person was killed and six others were injured when the wreckage of a shot down Russian missile landed on a residential street in Kyiv.
After being intercepted by Ukraine’s air defences, the missile’s debris damaged a bus and set fire to a residential structure in the capital’s Kurenivka neighbourhood, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
It goes on to say that the bus was not carrying any people and was entirely destroyed.
Photos posted by Anton Gerashchenko, a Ukrainian interior ministry consultant, show the bus mangled remnants scattered over the roadway as smoke rises from the wrecked structure. In the skies above, what appear to be anti-aircraft missile trails can be seen.
