6,915 new covid instances has been registered and 180 additional deaths were recorded in India

            According to data issued by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, India registered 6,915 new Covid-19 cases and 180 fatalities in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall death toll to 5,14,023. (March 1, 2022). There are currently 92,472 active cases.

In the last 24 hours, the active Covid-19 caseload has decreased by 10,129 cases.

Today, the country registered 16,864 recoveries, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,23,24,550.

The national recovery rate for Covid-19 is 98.59%.

In the previous 24 hours, 9,01,647 tests were performed to identify the existence of the virus.

Meanwhile, India is expected to see the fourth covid-19 wave in mid to late June, with the surge lasting approximately 4 months, according to IIT-K experts. The severity of the wave, however, will be determined by the appearance of novel variations, vaccination status, and the delivery of booster doses.
