12,911 new covid cases registered in Gujarat; recovery rate is almost doubled in past 24 hours

            According to health department data, Gujarat recorded 12,911 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, with nearly twice that number recovered.

COVID-19 has been retrieved by 23,197 persons in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 9,92,431. The state’s recovery rate has already reached 88.56 percent.

During this time, 22 individuals died from the virus. In addition, the number of patients on ventilators climbed slightly from 0.14 percent last week to 0.25 percent of all current cases.

Meanwhile, Ahmedabad reported 4,501 new cases and 7 fatalities, with the daily test positive rate (TPR) falling.

Since January 18, when the third wave peaked with 3,986 new cases, cases in Surat have been steadily declining. On Thursday, the district recorded 1,094 new cases and one fatality.

In Vadodara, there were 2,395 new infections and two fatalities, while in Rajkot, there were 1,267 new infections and three deaths.
